Updated: Jan 18, 2023

These are a wonderful accompaniment to any meal!

Makes approximately 4-6 servings

Preparation time is approximately 10 minutes

Cooking time is approximately 45 minutes

Ingredients

4 - 6 large potatoes (we recommend maris piper or king edwards for an extra fluffy roast!)

1 - 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil

Sprinkle of thyme (optional)

1 tablespoon of plain flour (optional) - gluten free if required

Salt and pepper

How to make Crispy Roast Potatoes

  1. Preheat oven to 200C

  2. Peel and chop potatoes in half (roughly equal size)

  3. Add the potatoes to a saucepan of cold water (you can add salt if you prefer). Boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Drain in a colander and give a shake.

  4. In the meantime heat the sunflower oil in the oven (4 - 5 minutes) to get it nice and hot. This is essential to ensure a good crispiness!

  5. Add the potatoes to the oil and the thyme, flour and seasoning (if required) roast for approximately 50 minutes.
