These are a wonderful accompaniment to any meal!
Makes approximately 4-6 servings
Preparation time is approximately 10 minutes
Cooking time is approximately 45 minutes
Ingredients
4 - 6 large potatoes (we recommend maris piper or king edwards for an extra fluffy roast!)
1 - 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
Sprinkle of thyme (optional)
1 tablespoon of plain flour (optional) - gluten free if required
Salt and pepper
How to make Crispy Roast Potatoes
Preheat oven to 200C
Peel and chop potatoes in half (roughly equal size)
Add the potatoes to a saucepan of cold water (you can add salt if you prefer). Boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Drain in a colander and give a shake.
In the meantime heat the sunflower oil in the oven (4 - 5 minutes) to get it nice and hot. This is essential to ensure a good crispiness!
Add the potatoes to the oil and the thyme, flour and seasoning (if required) roast for approximately 50 minutes.
