Mackerel Pate

Packed with omega 3 and ideal with some pitta for a quick healthy and great value lunch.


Makes approximately 3 - 4 servings

Preparation time is approximately 5 - 10 minutes

Cooking time is approximately 0 minutes


Ingredients


Smoked mackerel fillets

100g g full fat soft cheese

1 teaspoon of dried dill (optional)

2 teaspoons of capers (optional)

Squeeze of lemon


How to make MACKEREL PATE

  1. Remove skin from the mackerel and flake into a bowl.

  2. Add the cheese, dill, capers and lemon juice.

  3. Mix well.

To Serve: Great served with pitta, beetroot & salad leaves.

HINTS & TIPS


This pate will keep in the fridge for a couple of days in an airtight container.
